The Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Dr. Ezzeddin Abostit announced the success of the agricultural quarantine in opening the New Zealand market to Egyptian orange exports for the first time after discussions and technical visits that lasted for more than two years.
It is worth to note that importance of using modern irrigation techniques in planting orange trees to increase the quality of productivity, reduce usage of fertilizers because of the high price of the product and open a new export markets.
And one of the most important modern irrigation techniques that that has revolutionized the irrigation world is Floppy Sprinkler System (Artificial Rain), as it is the first irrigation system that reduces the use of fertilizers and raises the quality of the product due to washing the leaves of trees, which leads to a better photosynthesis of the plant in addition to direct foliage fertilization.
He added that the export protocol was signed between the Egyptian agricultural quarantine and the New Zealand quarantine, which comes within the framework of the ministry’s efforts to open new markets for Egyptian agricultural products to support the national economy with cash reserves.
